Description

Spider beetles are small (1.5 - 4mm), shiny, hump-backed beetles. As a rule, they normally only come out of hiding at night, and only to scavenge. They do not bite humans, but they will eat dead, dried out carcasses of other small creatures. Their bodies come in either reddish-brown, or black. (The one I discovered was dark reddish-brown). They possess six legs, and two antennae - their legs, antennae, and head are covered in very short, tan-coloured fuzz.
