Lettucey looking lichen growing on a maple tree, this piece had fallen to the ground.

Tiny crustacean among the rocks on the east coast of Vancouver island near north end of Quadra Island.

Grows in boggy areas, tall (2 foot) spike with white orchid flowers and green leaves surrounding the full length of the stem.

Brown bug with wings about an inch long. brownish in colour with shaded areas . Tail end is darker. 6 long legs and long antennae. Head is small, long and narrow.

About 2 cm long - looks like a miniature shrimp, it is light brown and semi translucent.

Large blossom ball about 7cm dia made up of small blossoms - growing close to the ground with no leaves evident. There were a few plants together.

Shrub like bush with dark green toothe dleaves - dark red berries, pulpy and seedy, prickles on the branches.

Bright orange - cup shaped fungus growing on the ground.

Shrub growing on sand lake shore - leaves wider at the top and slightly toothed tapering and smooth toward the stem. Fruit yellowish brown .

White butterfly with black markings alnong leading edge of the wings and around the tops - lesser dark lines on the lower half of the wings.

Small, pink, five-petalled flowers in clusters at the top of their stems. It has an oval clump of leaves at the bottom of the stem - and in opposite pairs up the stem.

Large polted leaves growing opposite along a long stem - flowers white also on a long stemp turning to marbles berries light brownish colour with pinkish spots.

This sundew has long tentacles that are reddish pink and there are yellow paddle like leaves. They seem to colonnize lahe shores that are very damp tp soggy.

Similar to a wild pea with smaller fruit, vine and flowers

Bright pink single flowers at the end of stems near teyh top of the plant - Petals appear a little ragged at the edges but are all the same.

No green, stem pinkish and flowers 1 per branch are more a light yellow tan and are elongated tubes.

Small, fleshy, stemless plant - flower is like a rosette close to the ground, I saw several smaller ones about 1/2" in dia - this was the largest 1" dia. pink flower with no green leaves.

Growing in clumps, low to the ground but not trailing, evergreen leaves and lantern like bright pink flowers.

The flowers are cream coloured with a bright yellow spot on each petal - they grow in clusters at the end of stout stems.

Parasitic plant - shaped similar to a pine cone; cylindrical with cup shaped flowers - yellow about 2" tall
