Actively foraging and moving along the edge of a pond. When disturbed, the individual moved out of the pond and into a small puddle (2 foot diameter) and curled up and did not move.

Sitting at the edge of a lake in a grassy area about one foot from the water. The individual was vigilant and tried to jump into the water as I approached.

The male toad was calling every five seconds for twenty seconds. I found him in amplexus with a female in a pile of leaf litter. However, as I approached, they moved apart and both began to hop away.
