Description

Small, apparently juvenile snake moving slowly from the formerly sunny part of the deck to where the sun is. Made striking motions in my direction almost comically from 5 feet away.

I think?

It was going after a nest of mice that had made their home in my ski equipment. I think the longer tail tipped in black makes this an ermine, not a least weasel. Am I correct?
