What
Ring-billed Gull (Larus delawarensis)Observer
woodcraftDescription
The two gulls were a ways from shore. They held their own with the crows. One flew closer to shore but found the water was frozen. The other flew up to join the first and ‘nattered’ at the first. Perhaps not happy there’s no open water.

I could hear two woodpeckers- one below the pathway. One much higher (1, 2,3). The one from below flew up and the other one mounted her (4,5,6) Then the male flew across the road and the female stayed on the branch for a minute or two.
