iNaturalist Canada Steering Committee

The iNaturalist Canada Steering committee was established at the onset of launching the platform. It represents several key sectors in biodiversity conservation with the goal to keep iNaturalist Canada engaging, fun and valuable to the people who use it. These organizations play a key role in maintaining the platform as well as the responsibility of managing the data of iNaturalist Canada.

Canadian Wildlife Federation

iNaturalist.ca is led and maintained by the Canadian Wildlife Federation, a national, not-for-profit charitable organization whose mission is to conserve and inspire the conservation of Canada’s wildlife and habitats for the use and enjoyment of all CWF is the main point of contact with iNaturalist.org and collaborates with other members of the global iNaturalist Network.

Parks Canada Parks Canada protects and presents nationally significant examples of this country's natural and cultural heritage, and fosters public understanding, appreciation and enjoyment in ways that ensure their ecological and commemorative integrity for present and future generations.

NatureServe Canada NatureServe Canada provides data information, as a network of provincial and territorial Conservation Data Centres (CDCs) to develop, manage and distribute authoritative information critical to the conservation of Canada’s biodiversity. NatureServe Canada provides advice, guidance and helps manage iNaturalist Canada.

iNaturalist.ca est dirigé et mis à jour par la Fédération canadienne de la faune, un organisme national sans but lucratif dont la mission est de conserver la faune et les habitats naturels du Canada afin que tous puissent en tirer des ressources ou y trouver de l’agrément. La FCF est le point of contact principal d’iNaturalist.org et collabore avec d’autres membres du réseau mondial d’iNaturalist.
