Hi there!

I am a 17yr old naturalist who lives in George ( Western Cape, South Africa ) and loves absolutely everything to do with nature (except maybe a large Harpactira- see I am interested in our indigenous orchids (especially the genus Disa), but I'm also a keen herper, birder, ichthyologist and something of an entomologist, focusing on beetles like Epomis and Xiphodontus, as well as being a part- time lepidopterist focusing on Orachrysops niobe, Leto venus and Thestor barbatus. My profile picture shows Bunolagus monticularis, the Riverine rabbit. This species is the rarest rabbit in the world apart from the Sumatran Striped rabbit (Nesolagus netscheri) and is endemic to the Cape province of South Africa. They are very scarce and habitat-specific, and I was extremely fortunate in getting this photo.
l am a member of CREW (Custodians of Rare and Endangered Wildflowers).
l appreciate living in an area with such diverse wildlife and so many endemic species, which led me to start this project: feel free to join!
I'm very keen on camera trapping, and you'll find my pics here:
I try to publish useful articles on iNat in my spare time, which can be viewed here:
I am a Christian, which means that I believe Jesus Christ died for us to save us from our sins because we couldn't save ourselves. The important thing to realize is that God is in complete control- nothing bad can happen to you without His permission. Once you realize this, you will start thanking Him for every aspect of your life, whether it seems bad to you or not. You can join a Christian project on iNat here:

Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your Heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they?
So why worry about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin; and yet I say to you that even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.

Matthew 6: 26, 28- 29 (NKJV)

Too many people die every day thinking that they are unloved. If you are one of those people, let me tell you that Jesus loves you more than you can possibly imagine. He was willing to suffer torture and death for your sake and now desires a personal relationship with you.

Will you follow him?
