I have been herping for frogs, toads, snakes and turtles for almost 40 years now. I handle herps of all kinds in zoo's, rescues and wildlife rehabs, and can identify most of the Illinois native species. I am currently working on a zoology degree at Olivet Nazarene University. I have been conducting a study of red fox, gray fox and arctic foxes, that I will continue for the next year. I know my way around most county and state parks from midway through the state up through the mid portion of Wisconsin, over to the mid portion of Iowa. I spend a great deal of time kayaking, hiking, fishing and camping.
