I have been extremely fortunate to work along side some incredible minds here at the Santa Monica Mountains National Recreation Area and from their research and in conversations with them out in the field and in our cubicle city at park headquarters I have learned so much about the place in which I grew up. My interests here are; California native plants including rare and threatened species and their limited ranges, birds of California and bird migration shifts, Gray Whales and sea mammals, and the biodiversity of urban Los Angeles, from Downtown to it's semi-urban to rural surroundings.
