I am a postdoctoral researcher at Johannes Gutenberg University-Mainz, Germany and am currently studying the evolution and functional roles of gut-bacterial symbioses in Pyrrhocoridae (Redbugs, Firebugs, and Cotton Stainers).

I received my PhD in Entomology at the University of Georgia, studying defensive bacterial symbiosis in the pea aphid.
