I'm a grad student, studying distribution and diversity of Southeast Asian birds at the LSU Museum of Natural History. When I'm not doing that, I roam around southern Louisiana and beyond. I'm originally from California, and have traveled extensively through Asia, Mexico, South America, and a bit of Africa. Although my focus has always been on birds, I'm interested in many different taxa, and I'd especially like to get better at mushroom and insect identification (especially dragonflies, butterflies and wasps).

I'm a very active eBirder, so most of my bird sightings end up there. I have posted a few sightings here on iNat, as well as dead birds, nests, or other sightings not appropriate for eBird. My profile can be viewed at:
