I'm a general marine biologist kind of guy. I work in environmental protection and for the last 15 years have served as an Oil Spill Planning and response Specialist with the Washington State Department of Fish and Wildlife Oil Spill Team. We help identify sensitive natural resources and help prioritize protection strategies when an oil spill occurs. We also help coordinate the recovery and rehabilitation of oil injured wildlife and help propose appropriate restoration projects to help compensate for the damage from oil spills. I have been diving Puget Sound and other areas around the world since 1974.
