Entomological enthusiast, now elderly, specialising in Australian Insects mainly certain Lepidoptera and certain Coleoptera, especially the Buprestidae. Currently co-authoring two books on the Australian jewel beetles (Buprestidae), I also have strong interests in the Australian Cerambycidae, Cetoniinae, Dynastinae (especially Pseudoryctes and Carneoryctes), Bolboceratidae, Cicindellinae, Lucanidae, and certain Tenebrionidae and Carabidae. I am very interested in obtaining, alive or dead, specimens for study and / or photography. In the Queens Birthday Honours of 2016 I was kindly awarded the Medal of the Order of Australia (OAM) for my significant role (one man band actually!) in saving from clearing the largest area on Earth ever saved from clearing by one person, being over 3 million hectares in southern Western Australia, now the most ecologically richest part of what is now known as the Great Western Woodlands'.
