Originally a biology major from MN, I’ve been living in Eastern PA now for over 15 years. An ER Physician as my day job, I have a passion for travel, outdoor activities, and of course Lepidoptera taxonomy. I’ve recently become the BAMONA Regional Coordinator for butterflies for the states of New York and Indiana, and also share BAMONA Coordinator responsibilities for all of Eastern Canada (Ontario eastward), Northwest Territories and Nunavut…and the state of Hawaii.

I’m always happy to discuss/assist with butterfly IDs…feel free to contact me at any time! Do keep in mind I am an amateur lepidopterist, and not an academic expert. I’ve been a lifelong student on the subject, and am always looking forward to finding that new or unexpected species in the field, or learning new tips/suggestions from you all!
