I have had a lifelong interest in nature. I have a degree in Zoology and currently work at a biodiversity genomics facility. I am most knowledgeable of birds, reptiles, and amphibians in that order, and hence mostly stick to those groups for identifications.

Most of my observations are of things I know less about (primarily insects and plants). Many of my ID's start with the app's recommendations, so please don't hesitate to offer alternative suggestions. ID tips are always welcome.

I've never claimed to be a good photographer and many of the observations I upload are snapped on a phone, often while juggling small children, so apologies for any blurry photos!
