I never outgrew turning over logs and rocks to see what’s underneath. Now I enjoy exploring nature with my kids and helping other families get outside together.

I recently became a Texas Master Naturalist, but my background is in literature, grant writing, and nonprofit fundraising. In the world of nature and science, I’m just an enthusiastic amateur.

I’m new to iNaturalist but am delighted to finally have somewhere to share the random bug pictures on my phone. When we spot something cool while tromping through the woods or hanging out in the yard, I love that my kids now immediately follow “What’s that?” with “Let’s document it and find out!!!”
