I'm a lover of all aspects of natural history, especially birds and plants, and I always like getting out to look at nature at all possible opportunities, as well as learning about what I'm looking at. Contributing to iNaturalist is definitely honing my ID skills as well as making me keep an extra sharp eye out for new things, both of which I really appreciate. I'm currently doing an MSc in the Rooney Lab at the University of Waterloo, looking at the impacts of beaver dams on wetlands in the Columbia River valley in BC.
