In the mid-1970s, I really enjoyed working summers for the Entomology department of the University of Guelph. I wish I remembered more from that time. I'm (slowly) learning more about plants.

Now that I'm retired, I get to spend a lot more time outdoors. I like to shoot pictures of things that are new to me (or that I'd previously mostly ignored), and ID them. On a recent trip to a Finland Scout Jamboree, I got into a competition with a fellow Scouter (to see who could submit the most new species), and (OK, this is a brag) left her in the dust! (Sorry Shelley - Not sorry :-).), and had a fun time doing it.

I have grandkids in Ontario, BC, and California, so that gives me periodic access to a great variety of habitats.
