I am an Assistant Professor of Chemistry at Northern Michigan University with a research interest in the biochemistry of medicinal plants. I received my PhD in Plant Biology from the University of California, Davis and my BS in Biology with a concentration in Plant Biology from Cornell University. I can't help but check out plants when enjoying the outdoors while rock climbing, running, biking, backpacking, or skiing! I am fascinated by all sorts of plants from Bryophytes to Asterids.
