University of Arizona Entomology Professor of Practice, degree in insect science and entomology. Most of my research centers on ants and the evolution of their morphology in relation to their diet, behavior, and microbiome. I'm working hard to learn fungi and am fairly familiar with the organisms and habitats of the Chiricahua Mountains.
I do a bit of research on the effects of climate shifts on hummingbirds in the Sky Islands and I participate in a long-term banding project to monitor populations in the region. I also have done some conservation work with regional caves and am active in my local chapter of the NSS.
