Sami is a wildlife photographer and technologist based in Singapore.

An animal advocate since childhood, Sami started taking wildlife and travel photography more seriously in 2009 during a two month journey across Southern Africa. His passion for wildlife and travel photography has since lured him deep into the jungles, hills, and seas of South America, Europe, North America, and particularly South & Southeast Asia where he has been based for over 10 years.

Sami's photography has been publicly recognized and/or awarded by National Geographic, Canon Asia, Singapore National Parks, and BBC Earth. Several of his photos have been featured daily on Google-powered screens and services (like Google Chromecast) around the world since 2017. A supporter of regional conservation efforts, Sami interacts with researchers and wildlife conservation organizations like WWF and NParks Singapore to explore the intersections of technology and conservation.

When Sami isn't lost in a tropical jungle photographing primates, he can be found supporting global tech communities and startups through his work at Google, playing music, or spending time at home with his wife and three children.
