Currently Botanist with Christchurch City Council. Studied Botany at Otago University and completed PhD on Otago saltmarshes under Bastow Wilson in 1982. Worked at Botany Division through to Landcare Research from 1981-2003. Ran Canterbury Ecology Consulting from 2003-2006 and been with CCC since. From July 2015 based at Christchurch Botanic Gardens.
