I am a researcher at the Cawthron institute. I work primarily in the Taxonomy.
My expertise lays within the Polychaeta (marine bristle worms).
I studied Biology in Germany, majored in Zoology, and had Genetics, Animal Physiology, Medical Psychology as minors
I finished my studies describing the and Orbiniid species complex from northern Europe.
In New Zealand I did my PhD looking into reproduction biology, larval development, recruitment and ontogeny of the endemic Serpulid Spirobranchus cariniferus (Gray, 1843).
Besides invertebrate, taxonomy, biology, development I am especially interested in reproductive biology and larval development of sessile invertebrates.
