I'm a self-taught naturalist in southwestern Ontario, Canada primarily interested in botany and mycology. Currently consulting and working towards an M.Sc. at Western University in London, Ontario. I'm also the editor of the Ontario Plant Press, the periodical newsletter of the Field Botanists of Ontario.

My main botanical interest is the tribe Astereae (asters, goldenrods, fleabanes, etc.) of North America, but my M.Sc. research is on the macrofungi of Ontario's Carolinian Zone.

I live just down the road from the settlement founded by the early Canadian botanist John Goldie.

I collect field guides and I started a Field Guide Exchange group on Facebook.
