Reaching out through Facebook - translation?

The "iNaturalist world tour" visited Turkey this week, and someone shared there a link to the 'Flora' group on Facebook, where people share identifications of wild plants.

Can anyone volunteer to translate a short message into Turkish to invite people to participate in this iNaturalist project?

Here is an example message:

NatureMap-plants is a citizen science project aimed at improving our knowledge of flowering plant species distribution in four countries - Indonesia, India, Ethiopia and Turkey - that are extremely rich in plant species. Currently, these countries have insufficient plant observation data available to be able to identify areas of high plant species richness and to ensure that threatened plants are sufficiently protected to avoid their extinction. You can help by adding observations of flowering plants to iNaturalist, and by helping to identify plants that have already been added. We especially need more identifiers willing to share their knowledge!

Many thanks to anyone who can help!

Hi Lera,

do you know if anyone did this already? If not I can ask a friend.

Hi Piero - great if your friend can help - I think @loarie is also planning to get in touch over broader links to iNaturalist (see https://www.inaturalist.org/blog/26783-turkey-inaturalist-world-tour )

An update that we did reach out, but were rebuffed.

How were you rebuffed? In case it helps, many many more Turkish translations were just released for the website.

The response from the Flora group on Facebook was along the lines of 'no imperialist programmes, thanks'.

Really good that more translated content content is included in the Turkish-language version, thank you for letting us know!
