A cold sunny day to walk the section from Hoylake to New Brighton. Five pleasing observations. Looking forward to completing the rest of the coastal path in the not to distant future.
Plain greyish-brown above and whitish below. They have red legs and a black-tipped red bill, and show white up the back and on the wings in flight.

Plumage is all white. Long black legs with yellow feet and a slim black bill.
Two observed in Leasowe Bay at low tide.
Leaves are waxy, have a pleasant texture and taste when served raw or cooked, (known as wild spinach).
Low tide in Leasowe Bay. Mainly greyish brown, with a white back, and a very long curved bill.
Plumage black with a purple sheen. Bill, legs and feet also black.
