Lezing over korstmossen

Woensdag 17 februari - Beeldherkenning (korst)mossen

Epicollect5

Easy to create forms, embed photos and sync once connected. Free and easy-to-use mobile data-gathering platform.There is Python Library https://developers.epicollect.net/examples/pyepicollect and a R example https://developers.epicollect.net/examples/r how API works -> t.ly/BaMZ great for me in the past - you can set your own categories and it’ll cycle through them for you, as well as giving GPS location etc. It gets synced from your phone account to the website so can be accessed on laptops later. I’ve used it to collect gps, microhabitat structure, date, time and include photos and audio for road killed animals over the course of 8 months.
The data can be downloaded as a csv file. - customize your own data collecting workflow (and it’s free)
Four simple steps:
1) Create a project website at EpiCollect.net
2) Design form(s) online for data collection (including GPS and media)
3) Load tproject info into the mobile app and collect data
4) view the data

Free EpiCollect.net (also for Android) http://www.i-use.eu/tools/collecting-own-data/mobile-apps/ios-mobile-apps.html
Fulcrum

Monitoring
Point data Monitoring Point data Blue Tooth Paid n the past for more intensive species list data collection, it has good mapping integration but is not free and takes a while to set up a good form with species prefilled, so only recommended if you're going to use it repeatedly ost all field data collection now. There is a free version, but we pay for one of the subscriptions and the time saved in manual data entry is definitely worth it. http://www.i-use.eu/tools/collecting-own-data/mobile-apps/ios-mobile-apps.html rom asset management and inventory to environmental observations, field audits, and inspections, Fulcrum can record whatever you need from the field with full support for offline data collection and mapping. ODK Collect

ODK Collect is an open source Android app that replaces paper forms@kobotoolbox
https://docs.getodk.org/collect-intro/
https://docs.getodk.org/collect-intro/ ODK Collect is useful for many types of field data collection, especially if you plan to go for a while without signal, need to periodically back up to remote server, etc. Odkcollect or kobocollect (which uses odk platform). Can also do dr codes, photos, and be hooked up to external gps is high accuracy is required. @kobotoolbox which is based on @getodk
for prescribed data entry previously, very handy for citizen science based projects and spits out XLS prepared data (free as well).

@kobotoolbox
@cybertrackerorg

@cybertrackerorg
is great for collecting georeferenced data. Been using it for years

@kobotoolbox
Android Memento Android Memento. You can link to Google sheet for backup and it has a location field that can pull in coordinates from the phone and you can attach photos to records. It is free (limited number of databases). @nature_trackers for #wherewherewedgie!
@ProofSafe

@ProofSafe - they customize to your exact needs.
is amazing - we use it for field work all the time!

@nature_trackers for #wherewherewedgie!
@appsheet

@appsheet
lets you create your own data collection app using google sheets. I made one for field work and no more data entry afterwards!!! ;)

@kobotoolbox
Avenza Avenza is a free phone app that allows you to capture gps data and notes. Can load in maps of study location too. good luck with Avenza Maps- it's free, can use any georeferenced PDF, and you can take point or line data. Doesn't need phone signal. Its data field options are pretty limited, but if you just need location info it's great.It works offline, you can save routes (particularly useful for tons of roads through a forest), and everyone with a smartphone can have a copy. @kobotoolbox
Project-redcap.org project-redcap.org, which has been brilliant for field data collection in hydrology. But google forms will give you basic functionality. @kobotoolbox

hey use apple Filemaker and collect CMR data both real time and offline on multiple iPhones, combining it with gps and camera. V Survey123 (an @Esri product) may be a good option. I have around 100 volunteers who use it to collect data over a very large area. Data can be collected offline and submitted later. Entries sync to ArcGIS online and can be exported as tables or shape files.

P.S. Wat een presentatie ! Grote klasse, spannend !

Seek is freely available on both iOS and Android. Unlike the iNaturalist mobile apps which have separate code bases for iOS and Android, we used React Native for Seek, which is a relatively new technology that allowed us to build Seek for both Android and iOS with a single codebase. It’s still nascent — there’s not even a stable 1.0.0. release yet — but we liked the benefits:

Saves us time in development, since we’re only using one coding language.
Brings Seek to a wider, more varied audience, since we’re able to support 7,000+ devices on Android alone — this also allows for a more international audience, since Android tends to be more popular anywhere outside of North America, Australia, and western parts of Europe.
