The Hong Kong Explorers Initiative's aim is to encourage people to explore Hong Kong's wilderness by crowdsourcing an online database of Hong Kong's plants, insects and animals, with a special focus on endemic species--those found nowhere else in the world. We believe that the more informed and engaged Hong Kong people are with nature, the better we can all protect Hong Kong’s environment. We also lead expeditions during which explorers are encouraged to collect data (photos, videos, observations) for the database.The project was started with support from the National Geographic Society. less ↑
