The Saskatchewan Conservation Data Centre administers a GIS-based invasive species mapping & data management tool, iMapInvasives - which houses different information types including observations, assessments, surveys, and treatments, all of which can be viewed on an interactive map.
iMapInvasive serves as Saskatchewan's provincial data repository for invasive species information and is intended to support many different user types including citizen scientists, natural resource managers, volunteers, educators, and others.
This project is intended to support the citizen science aspect of iMapInvasives and aid in collecting point observations from scientists on-the-ground. Observations entered into this project will go through a quality control check, and then qualifying points will be added to Saskatchewan's iMapInvasives database.
