Le Bioblitz de Killbear est l'occasion pour vous de contribuer à la connaissance des êtres vivants du parc provincial Killbear. Joignez-vous à des spécialistes en matière de taxons pour explorer et consigner des données de vos rencontres avec les oiseaux, les insectes, les amphibiens, les reptiles, les mammifères, les plantes, les poissons et les champignons. Les activités en soirée comprennent un inventaire d'hiboux et chouettes, et de papillons nocturnes. Rendez-vous à l’entrée principale du parc et des employés vous indiqueront où aller.

Is this a kids event?
Kids are welcome to all the events, however an adult must accompany them. There will be a few sessions specifically directed towards kids giving them the opportunity for a more “hands-on” experience.
What are my lunch and dinner options?
Please be sure to bring your own packed lunch and dinner. Alternatively, there are a few options outside of the park to have lunch such as:
Gilly’s Snug Harbour Restaurant and Marina
Killbear Park Mall
The Detour Store
Killbear Park Marina
Perks Chip Stand
What do I need to bring:
Please remember to bring everything you need for your session. These are things such as:
Comfy shoes (close toed),
Binoculars,
Camera,
Full water bottle,
Lunch,
Dress for variable weather
Sunscreen.
Field guide (if you have one on your session taxa)
Do I have to stay all day?
No, you can come and go as you please. Feel free to come for your event only or hang around the park for the whole day!
Since this event is inside a Provincial Park, is there a fee?
A day use pass will need to be purchased at the front gate, this is $14.50 per car. Once this pass is purchased you can use the park for the entire day to explore some more!
If you are already camping in the park that day, park use is included in your fees.
