Reminder - our First Pollinator Census is tomorrow - Sunday May 07

Just a friendly reminder to get out to your garden during one of the sunny breaks in what is forecasted to be a partly cloudy day tomorrow and do a quick pollinator census! Instructions are simple: make and submit observations to out project of any pollinators foraging in your garden (or taking a rest).

Feel free to share the most interesting find in the comments!

Good luck and thank you for supporting our project.
If you haven't already, add you garden to our NALT Pollinator habitat map:

Cheers

Phew it is easy to watch pollinators for 15 minutes but it is very hard to get a picture of them!! Perhaps Lynda S should give a workshop!

Yes! The easiest way to go about it is to focus on getting photos first and then create or add observations on iNat after. Then you can a lot of photos and select the best ones. Otherwise you are fighting with iNat to get a decent photo for your observation in the moment!
Anyhow, I hope you enjoyed seeing what was visiting your garden. All I had yesterday was a number of bumblebees at my Salmonberry. I am sure over the next few days there will be more to see as the temps get warmer and the sun comes out.

Likewise - several bumblebees on my salmonberry and water related small flying insects.
