Native Australian Mammals

There are no native ungulates (hoofed animals), primates, or terrestrial carnivorans (eg dogs, bears, cats etc) in Australia. (Dingoes are introduced to Australia, but prior to European arrival) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_placental_mammals_introduced_to_Australia

Australia is the only continent in the world to still have all three of the major groups of mammals: placentals, marsupials, and monotremes. https://australianmuseum.net.au/learn/animals/mammals/

More than half of the mammal species in Australia are marsupials. One quarter of the mammals are bats, and almost one quarter of rodents. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_mammals_of_Australia
