The crew at the Killens Pond Nature Center have been hard at work brainstorming ideas to help keep you and your families preoccupied during the quarantine. The results? Nature In Your Neighborhood! This fun and interactive activity is designed to get you outside exploring your natural world while still keeping yourself and others safe.
The goal will be to get out around your house or neighborhood to see and document as many natural species as possible. This could be anything from insects to birds, fungi and plants. Once you have joined this project, you can upload as many pictures as possible to help fill up the collection list.
The project will run from April 19 - 25 as that is Earth week and what better way to celebrate our wonderful planet than this? Keep a look out on our Facebook page for posts about starting the project. We look forward to seeing everyone's contributions!
