South section - 3/15/2023

Wednesday, 9:30-12:20 pm. 0 live newts, ?? dead newts.
Weather: very cold
Coverage: Aldercroft Heights intersection to the first stop sign. I walked with Kat.
Newts: we had ?? dead newts, a few of them juveniles, including very small ones again. I had 14 of the newts on the reservoir side, and 24 on the hill side.
Other roadkills: toads, earthworms, millipedes, Jerusalem crickets, centipedes, a slug.
Traffic: 42 cars, 7 trucks (carrying tractors to clear the road), 3 motorcycles, 7 bikes, 0 pedestrians, 3 parked cars.
One of the neighbors was very interested to hear about the newts!
