The problem is that POWO is not always actualized after the letter 'P' yet, so maybe we have to wait a while to see what name they will accept, i am pretty sure that it will be Ceratocephala though, and that Ranunculus will still be a synonym.

As I understand it, it is actually just names starting with 'P' (and ferns) that are not yet complete so this should be okay. However, I see that a major regional authority, Calflora, calls it Ranunculus testiculatus so there will be those who object to the change. I haven't committed the change in case someone wishes to argue for a deviation from POWO for this taxon.

Committing this. Calflora uses a very broad concept of Ranunculus, which is violated elsewhere on iNat (e.g. Kumlienia).
