@rynxs Looks like POWO now has B. tikushiensis as a synonym of B. japonica - I'm not sure why it was previously B. fortunei. Can this be rectified?

@ajwright yeah, they do that sometimes, much to everyone's annoyance. Here are all the affected observations (there appear to only be 2, with duplicates for the extra IDs): https://jumear.github.io/stirfry/iNatAPIv1_identifications?taxon_id=882828&rank=species&taxon_active=false&current=false

I think all you can do on a swap this old is delete the synonym and add it to the other species, leaving comments or IDs on the affected observations. Doesn't look like this will take much to fix.

Thanks. I've added B. tikushiensis (Hayata) Laferr. (in addition to M. tikushiensis Hayata) as a synonym. Any inclusion of that basionym in B. fortunei makes zero sense, opening the possibility that I made a mistake, given that B. tikushiensis has been synonymized with B. japonica forever, and that those species are nothing alike - but I managed to link the correct page, so I guess that's a point toward my absolution.
