When I first walked over the jungle of Sulawesi, I was stunned by the plants that shape the biodiversity of the island and the striking varieties of life in each of the peninsulas. I then started to like taking pictures of frogs, birds, snakes, dragonflies, butterflies, and the list keeps growing.

I grew up eating bush-meat. All kinds of wild mammals (that creep and fly) many birds, reptiles and amphibians that were found in the nearby forests had been on my daily menu. My eating desire of native bush-meat is now vanished.

I now lead a biodiversity conservation lab in Sam Ratulangi University, Manado.
