Short, small plant, usually less than 6" tall. Leaves and stems very hairy. Leaves palmate. At 9000' elevation.
The flower color is a creamy, white, but @stevejones ID'd this plant in another observation as Potentilla subviscosa so I'm starting there.
Paired thorns at nodes (thank you @stevejones for teaching me that)
