Pholis gunnellus, the rock gunnel, is an eel-like fish found in the intertidal and subtidal zones of the north Atlantic. The rock gunnel is capable of remaining above the waterline at low tide and can breathe air. They live in shallow waters and tidepools, and hide under stones and seaweed.
