Beginning Mushroom Hunting

These observations came from the Crazy Mountain range in Big Timber canyon. They are my first attempts of mushroom hunting.

Many of these were on or near a wet side creek that followed the main Big Timber creek. Almost all of them were being eaten by small insects, so small I couldn't get quality photos of them with my phone.

I had the book Everything the Rain Promises and More, which was slightly helpful however most of the mushrooms in our area just weren't in the book. I believe it is designed for the more western side of North America.
