Oak-loving Elfin Saddle (Helvella dryophila)Observer
mishroomDescription
Growing with Quercus agrifolia.
This is similar to Helvella dryophila, but with very uniformly saddle-shaped caps as opposed to the normal completely convoluted cap that is familiar with this species. I believe that this may be an undescribed species.

The only thing concerning is the lack of obvious striations on the margin of the cap. I am assuming this is due to age.

Greenfoot Webcap (Cortinarius glaucopus)Observer
mishroomDescription
Alan mentioned that it could be C. glacopus or C. alboviolaceus. The color, I felt, matched up with C. alboviolaceus, as well as the abundant Cortina remnants. But based on sheer likelihood, I decided this was more likely C. glacopus.
