Description

3 loose jelly masses with 2 mm long kidney bean-shaped bi-color eggs—dark brown above, bright white below. Eggs clustered. Mass shown in photo is 4cm x 2cm, with 25 eggs. Loose jelly with algal coating. Attached to willow twig submerged underwater.

Dark above, pale below.
Possibly different species. Smaller has eyes on top of head so may be PATF; larger has eyes on sides of head so may be NRLF.

Also present was 1 disintegrating egg mass with a lot of dark algae, so couldn't get a good look at it. And the photo doesn't reveal anything.

Attached to twig submerged underwater. Also present were 2 empty, disintegrating egg masses that presumably are the remains of Long-Toed Salamander egg masses, which had been observed at this site previously.
