Welcome!

Last year a study by professional scientists suggested that a plant can time its pollination according to the full moon. However, an independent analysis of the same data concluded that the claim is premature and that additional observations are needed. If you live in the southeastern Mediterranean region, consider contributing observations in July 2016 to help address a real science question about plant pollination. You can read more about the project in the "About" section and you can read about the observational protocol in the "Terms & Rules" section. I hope you can join us. Please spread the word about the project, and thank you for your visit!

About

It has been suggested that the timing of pollination of a plant that grows in the southeastern Mediterranean region coincides with the full moon in July. Is this a real effect? Or is it a coincidence? So far, there are only three data points (2011, 2012, 2014). You can help test this hypothesis further by providing additional observations in July 2016.
