This did not seem like an ant to me. It was large and solitary. it is ground dwelling.
Looks like the A. dinema I have seen before (https://inaturalist.nz/observations/98759052) but the gonad shape looks like the description of A. rugosum. So not sure.
Also has a Peachia anemone larvae on it.

Terrible pic but saw a couple. has 8 tentacles, 4 gonads. Had distinct black nodes at the base of each tentacle. Couldn't find anything similar in the NIWA memoirs.
