Western Rattlesnake
someone dumped their pet I suspect. Rescued by snake-handling passer-by
On rocks next to the river on a 55° night at 10:30pm
Laura found this snake close to our campsite. By the time I got there, it had crawled under a large Bitterbrush. I was watching this snake through a small window in the bush in my camera, waiting to catch a tongue-flick when it stretched it's jaws in a huge Yawn!!
There are many bullfrogs in this location, but these look different to me.
This is a different individual than the one found two days earlier, exact same spot
Along Ingersoll Road, will add point location after listing other flowers and insects.
This is a female but there were males as well
Observation reported to WDFW
Little dude scurried out and froze for a while! Seemed to be moving pretty sluggishly for some reason.
