Description

I found this wasp nest within a piece of metal underneath a luxury tent on the Batoka Zambezi Sands property. The tents were on raised platforms. The wasps were large.

The time is approximate and potentially totally incorrect, as my camera's internal clock was inaccurate.

several individuals found on the gills of oyster mushroom (Pleurotus ostreatus).

it's my second time finding this beetle associated with this fungus (https://www.inaturalist.org/observations/167610936). I guess they have good taste!

Description

Legs were crimson to orangey in color. Body was almost as if it was black with iridescent gold? Maybe structural color?

He was just a totally random insect crossing the sidewalk and I didn't wanna step on him. Wish I had my better cam and better light
