Description

I believe this might be a large Hover Fly. Pretty sure this is the same one that I have got a glimpse of a few times in the last few weeks but have never been able to get close enough for a picture. It didn’t appear to be looking for nectar more like looking for a nest? Hopefully this isn’t a yellow jacket as was suggested because this is very close to the house. It didn’t show signs of aggression more of elusive behavior. Any help appreciated!
