Hi,
I'm a former SF State grad student. For my thesis project, I worked on trying to further understand the effects of parasitism by a small phorid fly (Apocephalus borealis) on honey bees, a phenomenon discovered on the SFSU campus in 2008 by my former major advisor. I also participated in various surveys of arthropods in the Presidio as an undergraduate, along with one involving Bay Area ants.

In my free time, I like to draw, paint, bike, and go hiking. It's fun to find a place where I can expand my knowledge of the natural world and meet fellow observers of nature.
