• Shape: Multi-stemmed shrub
• Leaf/Branch Arrangement: Alternate
• Flower: White elongated cluster
• Leaves: 3 inches long, ¾ inch wide, sharply toothed, pointed tip, short stalk
• Bark: brown-red, smooth
• Fruit/Seed: cluster of 4-6 tiny pods, brown
• Height: 2-6 feet
• Flowering: June - September
• Habitat: meadows, bogs, along shores
