Oligoria is a genus of skippers in the Hesperiidae, subfamily Hesperiinae. It contains only one species, the Twin-spot Skipper (Oligoria maculata). Adults rarely migrate north and have been found in New Jersey (September), New York, and Massachusetts.
Wings are rounded and brown-black. Upperside of forewing has 4 transparent spots. Underside of hindwing has a pale red-brown overlay and 3 oval white spots, 2 of which are close together.
Wing Span: 1 3/8 - 1 5/8 inches (3.5 - 4.2 cm).
Head and collar light brown. Body pale green, darker green caudally (Scott, 1986).

The Twin-spot Skipper is considered a rare species at the GTM. All observations are in the open habitat along Transect A. Only two observations have been made, the first in September, 2009 (2 specimens) and in September, 2011 (2 specimens). There have been 4 specimens observed as of December 28, 2015.
Found along the coast of North Carolina south through Florida and west along the Gulf Coast to east Texas. Strays can be found as far north as Pennsylvania, Maryland and New Jersey.
